Jeep Wrangler Headlight Adjustment | Step-By-Step Guide

If you’ve recently purchased LED headlights for Jeep Wrangler, you’ll want to ensure that they are properly adjusted to provide the best visibility while driving. Properly adjusted headlights not only improve your safety on the road but also prevent blinding other drivers. Jeep Wrangler Headlights Adjustment is a relatively simple process that can be done at home with a few basic tools.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to properly adjust the headlights on your Jeep Wrangler to ensure that they are aligned for optimal visibility.

How to Adjust Jeep Wrangler Headlights:

You will need the following:

  • Measuring tape (good for at least 25 feet)
  • Masking/painters tape
  • Level
  • Marker
  • T15 Torx bit or screwdriver

Let us help you in adjusting the headlights on your Jeep Wrangler. Here is a step-by-step guide:

Step #1. Park your Jeep on a flat surface, facing a wall or garage door about 25 feet away.

Step #2. Turn on your headlights and mark the vertical and horizontal center lines of each headlight beam on the wall using masking tape.

Step #3. Measure the distance between the ground and the center of each headlight. Record these measurements.

Step #4. Locate the adjusting screws on the back of each headlight. There are usually two screws per headlight that control the vertical and horizontal aim.

Step #5. Adjust the vertical aim of the headlights. Turn the vertical adjustment screw until the top of the low beam cutoff line is even with the horizontal tape line you placed on the wall earlier. The high beam should be slightly below the tape line to avoid blinding other drivers.

Step #6. Adjust the horizontal aim of the headlights. Turn the horizontal adjustment screw until the center of the low beam is even with the vertical tape line you placed on the wall earlier. The high beam should be slightly to the right of the vertical tape line to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Step #7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other headlight.

Step #8. Verify that the headlights are level. Check that the distance between the ground and the center of each headlight is the same as the measurements you recorded earlier.

Step #9. Take your Jeep for a test drive to ensure that the headlights are properly adjusted.

That’s it! With these steps, you should be able to adjust the headlights on your Jeep Wrangler and ensure that they are properly aligned.

Conclusion:

Adjusting the headlights on your Jeep Wrangler is an important step to ensure that you have optimal visibility while driving. With just a few basic tools and a flat surface, you can easily adjust the headlights to align them properly. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you can adjust your headlights to avoid blinding other drivers and to provide the best visibility for yourself while driving. Taking the time to properly adjust your headlights is a small but important step towards ensuring your safety on the road.
